Hello all. A few friends and myself are looking into getting into Necromunda. We have been on and off 40k players for a very long time but regardless of our playing status we have all always been infatuated with the fluff and have kept up to date on that. However we have gotten tired of much of the 40k culture and the way its played so we looked for something new and were brought to the Necromunda idea. So far we are incredibly happy with it. I do however starting out have one big question:

There are so many products out there that Im not sure what to use and what is compatible. Dont get me wrong we intend to use house rules wherever we deem it necessary but Id like to know what version of what rules match up with different products. For instance I have copies of all the original GW publications as well and the living rule book. How different are these text (I am not yet fully versed in either of them), and which of them are all the fan made products (ie: so many of the professional looking products that the Arbitrator General puts out) go to which set of rules. Basically Id like to know which fan made products goes with what rules set so Im not having to read 2-3 sets of rules that may slightly or largely differ to simply sort out what is what

welcome to the fringe man Smile

gotta say I had the same problem when I got back into Necro. House Rules are the way forward. I'm sure some of wiser folk here will be able to better supply with a rule match, but for me I just took the bits I like from where I liked and throw them together and see what comes out the other side Smile

Thanks for the reply, its good to see that people pay attention and can be polite. I can easily say that the attitude of many people on other major 40K forums has turned me away from the community. Anyhow thanks for the feedback.

You've come to the right place. The fringe is house rule paradise.
You've come to the right place. Chaos
