Little character piece I've just finished. It's a test subject for my bin bags. I always wondered why undercity terrain seemed remarkably clear of rubbish so set about making some bin bags to add to terrain pieces. Really pleased with how these came out and they're so easy to make you can knock a load up in no time and add them to barricades, buildings whatever for the extra look of dirty, scumland
strange how you don't notice things until you photograph them isn't it as the ties on the bags are just to white & clean, will have to get back to them and wash them with some black/brown. _________________ All we are is all we've ever done. |

Nice one - bin bags looks fabulous and agree that white rope stands out quite a lot.
I tried to place bin bags onto my terrain ages ago, but they didn't look so real, so they landed in a real bin :)
Would you mind sharing the way of creating them with us? _________________ My Necromunda Gang Blog - WIP, Scenery and more... |

it's a nice simple process,
Have a little pot on your modelling desk and anytime you clean a mould line, trim something down, chop something up put all the little off-cuts into the pot, along with bits of card, foil, paper, paper & any other stuff you find laying around.
Get a bin bag and cut off strips of plastic about 3 or 4" wide, then cut that down so you have 3 or 4" square pieces.
Lay the plastic square down and put about half a teaspoon of those bits in the pot on it and squirt on some PVA Glue.
Then pull together the edges, tie the top off with string.
Trim off the excess plastic & string and you got your bin bag.
The secret is to put the PVA in, without it you just end up with a round lump of plastic. The PVA won't set once the bags tied up so you shape them and squash them onto whatever you want, this gives them the life-like look. _________________ All we are is all we've ever done. |

Is this a Heroquest rat!?
By the way, nice idea. If you pile enough of these, you can make a "Naples at garbage strike" special scenario, with the gangs fighting for garbage management contracts. Tony Soprano style. You could even transform some garbage collecting Sentinels and... oh, well, forget it.
I should be working. |
