Soooo, a light Ogryn Flesh wash on Two Bloods? Or maybe a Bronzed Flesh glaze? It is one of my fav models of my latest batch of conversions, so I want it to be a home-run (by my own standards...)

Gonna have to tidy up the Imperial Assassin over the week-end, hopefully post up a few more pics of him by Monday, although, Campaign, Superbowl and Youth Game might get in the way...

Have you got those figures yet?

You've improved massively really quickly, well done!

I think if you keep painting, and keep pushing yourself to try new techniques and tips, you'll get even better.

Nah man Gen. still haven't received the minis, but the French mail system is pretty shoddy. I ordered some stuff from Heresy and Wayland and it took a coupla weeks.
Thanks for all the help!

From left to right: Bounty Hunter/PDFD, Sniper, Mad Doc, Sniper/PDFD/House Agent Hired Guns (Backshot)

A pair of agri-mutant slaves I converted a while back for a 28mm Inquisitor campaign (inspired from the harvest world in one of the Eisenhorn books)

Bounty Hunter Ganger and a better pic of the Sniper/PDFD/House Agent Hired Gun

The Survivors gangers: L to R ->Autogun, Renegade Navy Rating and "Sick Jack"

The Survivors gangers: L to R -> Autopistol Ganger, Loots and Autopistol Ganger with screwdriver shiv

The Survivors specialists: L to R ->Renegade Ministorum Security Detail(Heavy with Bolter), Leader and Heavy with Grenade Launcher (might redo him, he's a bit mundane for my tastes)

Nice work man. Its great to see a gang with a decent backstory supporting a strong visual theme.

High praise coming from you, sir. Very Happy
I will be adding some more padding, armor, boots, pouches and straps etc... to the locals and the con gangers. Smoothing out the greatcoat on the leader as well...

Although my lack of familiarity with GS is slowing my progress. Do you have any pointers guys? I did a cursory search for "sculpting cloth*" and alas found nought to help me much.

At the moment what I'm doing is just mixing the GS, flattening it out on a jewel case and then cutting it and applying it immediately, although I noticed that details are harder that way...

HELP! Squint

When I was making coats for my own gang, I found that it worked best if you rolled the gs flat, let it cure for a while until it has a degree of strength, then cut it to shape with a scissors(dipped in water first). Then I could wrap the gs around the model, shape it around the torso and add folds without it losing too much of its shape.

Generally if the gs hasn't cured enough, it will just stick to the model and you'll end up having to add another layer on top of the first one to smooth it out

nice going Smile great bit of kit bashing going on, i see bits from lots of sets.
one thing that leapt out at me and I don't like is the Bolter Heavy's faceplate/mask
the shotgun ganger i really like the pose, nice action to it.

have you glued the arms on yet? because having started painting my mini's Ive noticed it's a hell of a lot easier if you don't have them fully glued together.

luckily mine were originally glued with superglue which you can easily break without damaging the model itself.

Haven't posted much on here in too long. Been busy building terrain and getting some painting done, also RL providing too much distraction in an upcoming move across the Pond. Very Happy
Have been painting all day today and got some gaming in (Necro for the first time in a coupla years...Result!)
Will upload pics of new stuff soon!

New Yeld

2 New Orrus

New Malcadon

And below you'll find some of my first steps into the wonderful and frustrating world of highlight painting. Some Juves, 2 Ratings and a coupla Scummers for my current Convicts project that I had posted up here while still in the grey phase. Don't pull your punches please!

really like your Orrus mods, nice & nasty looking. not liking the other 2 to the same degree :s

painting looks alright, it's always hard to tell from photos as from my own experience I know they look totally different in the flesh.

i changed the way i highlight since i've started painting again. it's difinately not for everyone as it takes a while but as it takes me about a month to get round to painting one model that's fine for me.

base coat, then whilst the paint is still wet gradually work on layers & layers of lighter tone mixture of the base. it's fiddly & time consuming but I prefer the results over what i used to do, which was base coat lighter then now, wash then dry brush 1 or 2 layers of highlights.
