Some of you may remember the last Newsletter I did for our local Necromunda Campaign, Promise Junction.

Well, we are starting up a new campaign.

So I dug out my old template for the Necromunda Newsletter, but all of the names and places in it seem like they should not be used for this campaign (what with the Bloodthirster rampage and all), so while I compile things together I need some help from you guys to come up with some things:

A Name for the "Setting" area. (The last one was Promise Junction)
A few reporter names, or local characters who might be a part of this newsletter (maybe do this newsletter as a radio broadcast?)
Some features to put in the newsletter besides the quick battle reports.
Anything else you'd like to see.

This is open for everyone here on the forum, not just the players. I'll take suggestions and crank out something decent.

This new campaign is going to be a Plague Zombie themed campaign, run by Pyright.

The current gangs are:
Atharyn playing an Enforcer Patrol
Pyright playing Ratskins
Truant playing "The Burly Men", a Goliath Gang
IcyCool playing "Underhive Defense Force", a Van Saar Gang

This is just me thinking out loud here....Or rather on screen, you get the point. If you want me to flesh these out a bit more I will.
The Setting:
The premise of a zombie campaign will give you loads of tie-ins from Romero, and thus Pittsburg. Or the 28 movies. I would have suggested something along the lines of Rhodes' Crossing, but you already had "Promise Junction". 2 intersections in a row, not good.

Reporters:
+ Well, if your campaign is taking place in a few adjacent domes you could have a CCTV-servitor analyst relay some battles or use the narrative device. Maybe Enforcer lsitening posts or something of that kind.
+ A travelling emporium, peddler type or caravan guard seeing some of the fights. Maybe a guy in keeping with Bubbs from "The Wire", selling fresh news for a few creds of booze, Kalma or ratmeat. This would enable the featuring of Ratskins stories with a bit more depth, as this type (especially the peddler) would be more likely to communicate with outlander types than others...

Features:
+ You could run a "loot of the cycle" kind of deal featuring the nicest piece of gear somebody bought/stole/ransomed off of somebody.
+ Obits are always nice as well, especially written from the viewpoint of loved ones or maybe even in some cases a Gang Leader (although this only applies to the house gangs and the Enforcers)
+ Lottery numbers, Classified Ads, Personals, Lost and Found, Arbites Executions, etc.. all depending on the level of civilisation of the setting.

I remember a pirate/off-the-wall radio DJ in *a zombie movie*, who gave updates and philosophical commentary on what was happening, until he started preaching close to the end of the movie about the "coming of the end" and how the plague was "the salvation" or "the cleansing".

So, as you said, you could have that sort of "voice" to the campaign - it would be feasible to me.

You'd be able to work in adverts and callers that would give different aspects to the end of a fight/the start of the next fight, particularly if you work out the newsletters with the "callers" beforehand.

Also, an idea for the campaign name: Kyo's Jump. Slight inspiration from a place near where I live, and a Jump is definitely not a junction.

I'm liking the radio DJ idea more and more, and I like the name Kyo's Jump for a locale. We've already played several games, so look for a "Broadcast Transcript" here in a few days.
