This is a company that produces a pretty small range of fairly generic, affordable, human Science-Fiction models. I like their style.
The full range is on the order page: http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/order.htm# _________________ Warhammer 40,000 5th edition

They look really good.
I don't care for the head on the wardroid thing. But besides that it looks great. The assualt squad doesn't have slotta bases, but the rest of the infantry do. It looks like they realized that the whole market turns on 28mm minis on round bases.
The vehicle looks good as well. I like the more high tech look.

Notice their statement on the "about us" page: "Pig Iron is for gamers who don't like to be told what to play with."
I do wonder how large the market is for people who play "GW-style" games but freely violate the restrictions that GW places on tournament armies. We have some here of course, but my overall impression is that the market is small indeed.
As far as their stuff, I'm always happy to see new companies producing modern or sci-fi minis. Being part of the evil GW orthodoxy, I would never use them for 40K, but I do use minis from all sources for RPGs, including Shadowrun and various post-apocalyptic settings. I'm currently scratch-building a robot for an RPG because I just don't like any of the models I can find.
I'm not extremely taken by their vehicle chassis, and I think it's still too small (not to scale) in spite of the "Size Matters" page. Still, I feel it looks a ton better than any vehicle produced for VOID and does show great promise for future products.
Their infantry minis have such small pictures I wish i could see them better.
I am struck by the very GW-like prices of these products. Good for people who don't like to be told what to play with, but who are still willing to pay premium prices for them. _________________ "Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do." - Voltaire

Game$ Work$hop-like prices? I thought they were pretty reasonable. Should work out to around $18 Australian for 4 or 5 metal models. The same from Game$ Work$hop would cost me at least $30. _________________ Warhammer 40,000 5th edition

The prices for their vehicles are well within the GW ballpark. £20.00 is about $35 US which is the price of a Razorback or Chimera. Since all of the Pig Iron vehicle variants are the same price, their APCs are actually more expensive than some of GW's while their tanks are cheaper.
In terms of infantry, I agree of course that their metals are much cheaper than GW metals. Their most affordable infantry squads ("PI.1" and "PI.2") give you 5 minis for £6.00 (about $10.50 US). Cost per model: $2.10. Even Reaper fantasy minis are not this cheap anymore (and they are smaller). The cheapest GW metals I can name (the Vostroyans in the new platoon box) are about $3.21 each (heavy and special weapons included).
If getting your minis in metal is a priority, then these guys are a great deal. I don't attach any special added value to metals myself. They are difficult to convert and limited in how many poses you can get. Plastics can be posed in many ways and the GW kits are chocked with tons of bitz for customization. Good GW plastics are excellent minis and cheaper than anything metal. (Well, sort of....*)
* At this point in my post I was going to give some examples to back up this "plastics cheaper than metal" claim, but I realized after looking at the GW online store that my results are not typical and not even valid anymore. Plastic Kroot are great models and I have tons of them. They are highly posable and have a large assortment of curious bitz to spruce them up... but I see that GW has raised their price again so that they now cost more than $2 each ($35 for 16). Fire Warriors are now around $3 each and plastic Space Marines are $3.50, which is actually more expensive than the new metal Imperial Guard. Only plastic Cadians remain below that $2 mark. So, actually, Pig Iron metals are cheaper than most GW plastics and they do look good even if they lack the customization options of plastics. _________________ "Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do." - Voltaire

Venator is absolutely correct about the plastics. Nobody makes plastics even comparable to the GW plastic in regards to quality and conversion parts.
However, their pricing is ridiculous. Another good company for metals is Hasslefree. Freebooter is pretty good too. Also, if you can find them, the old Warzone is good. (The Cartel figures are excellent for Necromunda campaign characters.)
In addition, the GW plastic Cadians are an awesome deal, you can do a lot with them. They have about a million parts and equipment that can be used as conversion parts.
I am actually in the middle of making a Van Saar gang and modifing an Orlock leader with Cadian and Catachan parts. (and some Orlock parts.)
