Here is the progress with the Iron gang. I'd appreciate feedback before I prep them for printing. I should also mention that these are "Type A" bodies which will be pistol and hand to hand weapons only.

Hi Gang

A lot has happened since my last post! I spent a ton of time trying to figure out how to make it possible to print bodies, weapons and heads separately but due to the way that Shapeways prices things it wouldn't work. There is a startup fee for every "model". The only way to avoid the startup fee is to spread it out among a bunch of figures printed at once. That is why they are printed in threes or fours. If you were purchasing all three separately you are paying the startup fee three times rather than just once. That being said. . . . NEW MINIATURES!

As always, input is needed and appreciated.

I like the terrain bits.

the walkway, how did you paint that? I am curious how you did the wear and weathering, was a sponge technique to get the worn paint and rust?

And I love the signs, those, I would pay a pretty penny to add to my terrain collection.

Wow! Speedy feedback.

The walkway is 20cm long, with the railing in the upright locked position it's 25mm tall and 10mm thick in the locked down position. The walkway surface is 4cm wide and with the supports its 5cm wide.

I just used a combination of dry brush and different washes (self made with acrylic and water). I didn't really have a plan, I just winged it.

It is hard to tell from the pics, but is the resin these are made in bubbly? Cause they look rough and pockmarked. Or is that from the drybrushing? Could we see pics of these without a wash or dry brushing against a colored background so we can see the quality of the molds?

Yes, this is them without a wash or drybrush.

It's just a coat of grey primer. The texture that you see in the images is a side effect of the 3d printing process. It varies from figure to figure, this is on the medium to bad side. If a figure shows up that is too grainy Shapeways will re print. You just need to send them a picture of the figure. I unfortunately didn't take any pictures of them against a colored background before i put the wash on.

thanks notnorm, im really happy with the outcome. im going to add some propper photos soon. plus if the paintjob is up to scratch id like to enter it as a villan in the painting comp. there is much work to be done now on getting this finished. yes the texture is a little rough but i didnt want to spend another 200$ to fix that. i have some ideas though. i wont be drybrushing either. ill have to wait and see. look out for more pictures

Hey

Thinking of ordering a couple of stealth ladies but have some questions .

1 can i get "boltguns" on my gangers ? (same model as on your gangleader figure)
2 Closed holsters on everyone ,( all gangers and heavys). U can remove the pouches and suchs if u need to .
3 Is it possible to get the heavy weapons on a spru ?

Thx in advance
