Hell yea. Three days of playing and I already own 33% of the galaxy. Well, that was the last time I looked. I expect to have lost some systmes to Vort. I'm gonna get revenge. :guns02

LMAO, I love your avatar...I am a huge Weird Al fan myself.

The True Emperor huh? Well next time I won't leave even one of your planets for you to rebuild with.

Yes it is. It is a bit like the old west in there at the moment. Anyone can come in and do whatever they want for however long they want. This will change with the next reset. I am working on getting the data structure up now.

I have a few questions, how did The Commissar get more then one active character? And who keeps strip mining the systems?

Strip mining seems the only viable tactic for keeping the enemy from taking your systems and then building massive fleets. So I thought I would ruin the economy and make it harder for my enemies to build.

Yeah my brother is mad at you for strip mining all his systems.

I don't know how I have more than one character. I got my ass kicked so I thought that I would restart. I thought that all my former planets would then revert to being unclaimed. For some reason it says that they are controlled by another player by the same name. So I basically screwed myself over. If you want to find me now, I'm that escape pod south of Commissar Prime.

You know, I was thinking about something.

The game is called Coreward Bound...Central is the planet in the middle, so it seems that the title would imply that we all want Central. However owning Central is no different then any other planet. Perhaps, there should be something unique about Central that would make everyone want it. *shrugs*

Strip Mining, me piss a lot of people off, but I think it should be viewed as a viable tactic to winning this war.

The only limitations on fleets is a monetary one. If you own even one planet you can extract enough Yen to build a massive fleet with. Infact, other then to win the game, there is no real reason to conquer other planets...multiple planets don't really benefit you in any realistic way.

Hey Mort, here is an idea. What if, instead of being able to extract Yen from a planet, you have a button that says something to the lines of *Waste a Turn* when you click it, it uses a turn and extracts Yen from all controlled planets. You could still perhaps strip mine a planet for those emergency times. (especially now that you inflated the price on ships)

But of course strip mining planets then hurts you just as bad.

Anyway see you back in game

Me too. :D

I hope he doesn't change any of the planet locations. My friend spent six hours making a map of the galaxy. Not that it helps too much...

The Core Systems are Sol, Centauri, Betelguse, and Sirius. They were located in a Large Type B Spiral Galaxy called "the milky way", more then 10,000 years before the Cosmic Exodus. The galaxy know as Alpha 1 was a small type A irregular galaxy, while Beta 1 was a medium type A irregular. Beta 2 will be a large type B lenticular galaxy, located about 160 light years from Beta 1.

Anyway, the reset is coming along fine. I hope to have the game back up soon. I will think ov a way to balance strip mining planets.

So we're going to another galaxy with different system locations?

Sweet, I can't wait to tell my friend that all the work he did on saturday is useless now. I can see the look on his face already. :D

Man I love being evil.
