I thought i'd created this thread in order to discuss, praise and criticise existing, past and future games workshop games that have made it to pc, such as Final liberation, fire warrior, Dawn of War and its expansions, DoW2, Rites of War, Dark Oman, Shadow of the Horned Rat, Blood Bowl, Warhammer 40K Online, Chaos Gate, Mark of Chaos 1 + 2, Warhammer Online...etc there are surprsingly alot of them! (please tell me if ive missed any out!)

So, does anyone have a favourite? Is there any in particualr that your looking forward to, or is there a race/game that you wish that GW had created a game for or included in existing games?

I played some of the old DOS-era Warhammer 40K PC games, but none of them left much impression on me. I do like Dawn of War though. It's pretty-much replaced StarCraft as my "old standby" when I just want to play a quick game or two of RTS.

Yeah, there were a couple. "Blood Angels Revenge" is freeware now if you look for it

I'd love to see an FPS where you are an IG member. A simple grunt, with a lasgun and pistol, able to pick up weapons like grenade launchers, plasma rifles, and meltaguns. If they made it like the COD series, you would have a "Saving Private Ryan" style landing and watch SMs dashing through insane amounts of firepower as you and your squad slog through the mud, and other IG members die around you. Fighting Tau, Eldar, and maybe even Tyranids, as you fight campaigns on several different worlds.

I am always quite surprised there aren't better computer games translated from GW games. I can only guess it's because:

1) they haven't done too well in the past
2) Developers and publishers want their own intellectual property

But the backstory and fanbase are huge, and I'm hoping the success both commercially and critically of Dawn of War will result in many more games. The obvious one for Necromunda would be an X-Com style game.

What I find even more suprsing is there aren't more mods for existing games. I have no idea how hard it is to mod games, I only play them, but look at Fallout Tactics; it's almost Necromunda anyway.
