Anyone else playing this game?
If you're not, you should be.

This is easily the best RPG since Baldur's Gate 2 and is on par with that.

Ouch, that last post was painful to read.

Getting back to the point, my flatmate bought Dragon Age: Origins but I've not tried it. I've watched him play and it hasn't swayed me from disliking fantasy RPGs.

If it's particularly good then I'd hate to play a bad game, it looked so tedious and hammy!

Sure, if you dont like RPS at all, then i guess it isnt for you.
But if you've ever like any RPG, you should like this game a lot.

Stormcry, this game does everything better than any other RPG ive seen.
There isnt really any other way to put it.
One exception is the camera angle options...
Can either be top down or basically 3rd person.
you can adjust the 3rd person somewhat but i think something in between would be idea.

I just don't like fantasy RPGs. I adored Fallout 1 - 3 (although 3 for different reasons to the first two).

I just finished this totally awesome game - human noble. Huge, huge fun factor of ten.

Minor beef - couldn't get my companions to take healing poultices on their own, leading one Grey Warden and three dead hangers-on many a time.

Major beef - end credits theme song. Epic high fantasy deserves epic score, not third rate cookie cutter radio rock "Brave New Whorl"? come on.

getting companions to use health poultices is easy mate, just use tactic - own health <50% - Use Item Health Poutice. Simple.

Picked up this excellent game after a mate showed it to me and I'm loving it.

My only annoyance is that either the recommended specs are totally wrong OR my computer just hates the game as i'm well above recommended specs and still suffering in-combat lagging playing with 50% graphical detail.

Have t second all the good opinions here.

I loved Fallout games, but I have to say, Dragon Age beats them all hands down. Not for the combat (which is pretty good), not for the story (which is really good, with plenty of twists and turns), not for the setting which (which is pretty damn dark, and fully rounded).

I love it for the interaction with NPC's, especially with your own party. I have never come across dialogue like this, and no NPC has ever made me smile and laugh as much as the characters in this.

Remember Minsc and Boo from Baldurs gate? This game has characters ten times more charming, funny and rounded as them.

Utterly brilliant
