15 years ago... I was probably playing on my brothers Commodore 64. I don't even think I had my Master System by then, so it would have been the C64 with classic games like Dizzy and Double Dragon.

Thinking about it, I think we still have the C64, and it should still work. But I'd have to sit around for 10 minutes while the cassettes loaded, only for it to crash about 5 seconds before its done loading.

15 years ago... it was 1990. so i think i already was at my friend's pc. monochrome screen, hercules card.
however in the mid eighties my father used to travel abroad (to west germany) to earn some extra money. once he came back with atari 800xl. i 'played bulder dash', 'bruce lee', 'river raid' and 'moon patrol'.
i also played 'saboteur' and 'barbarian' on schneider\amstrad a lot (or rather spectating my friend playing these games).
oh, i also remember zx spectrum with rubber keybord. ah...
off topic:
much later i owned amiga 500. i remember 'after the war' and 'lemmings'.
then came p133, 16mb ram, 500 mb harddrive and 'doom' and 'quake'. love that machine!
when i was living in uk i got myself pIII 600 + 'q3 arena'
now i'm athlon 1.7, 256 ram, 80 giga hard drive. planning to give away my 5200 fx and get some radeon card because 'nfs most wanted' looks miserable.

Lets see, in 1990, I believe I was playing Nintendo.

Up, Down, Up, Down, left, right, left, right, a, b, a, b, select, start = 30 lives.

Lol... I actually learned my "lefts" from my "rights" from that code. As a kid, I was ambidextrous, so I had a (&#$@!) of a time telling which side was witch. But when 30 lives were on the line, you learn quick!

I would have been six at the time in question but I do remember my first computer as being an Acorn. with games like lemmings and E-Type and that was bad enough.

BtB anyone remember Shinobi for the mega drive?

Either my commodore 64 or the original atari 2600.

The really old one with steel analog switches, wood paneling and sharp corners that weighed a ton.
Excellent for killing small children or breaking televisions with if you got frustrated.

Now this is a biggy.

When I was 4, 5 or 6 my brother was playing a borrowed copy of the Midway classic Gauntlet on our CPC. He had been playing for hours and I wanted a go. So I pulled the plug on the machine finishing my brothers game and wiping the borrowed disc.

I thought a great present for crimbo this year would be to get him the game. The problem is his laptop has just died and he has no other console or games machine available to him. Does anyone know if its available on one of those plug-in-and-play machines (you know, the joystick with the SCART lead and 50 or so retro games pre programmed in). My only other option is ebay which i'm not touching with a bargepole at the minute.
