Okay so, I've been toying with some models in my delirium of no sleep, booze and cold medication... 8-)

Anywho, Nightseer, thanks for the inspiration, I will probably use these models for Necro as well as for 40k kill teams and maybe even Dark Heresy...

All models WIP, need to be based, mould lines need cleaning and primer....I friggin love kitbashing....
Still working on a color scheme but so far the basic fluff is that their a Necromunda IG squad.....that can double as PDF deserters!

And where the magic all happens! The corner of my kitchen! ( easy access to the fridge is a major plus)

Hopefully I'll have them at least base coated by tomorrow, then its off to build my Khorne Land Raiders! :D

Great stuff. I really REALLY like the guy in the center of that first pic. Tons of character.

I am planning on working on a PDF deserter gang, and this has definitely given me some inspiration.

Man, I'm jealous. I wish I had a dedicated space like that! Right now everything is sitting on a bookshelf; I was taking things upstairs to paint, but the lighting is better next to my computer desk so I guess I'll have to start sharing my keyboard space with my models (only when I'm working on them).

Ahem. Anyway, nice conversions! Glad to see that I wasn't the only one who bought the new basing kit. Haven't gotten around to using mine because I've been unsure as to how to work the smaller pieces (like the ones you've used) into the base (i.e. do I put clay around them to make them sunk in?, etc).

I will be watching for stuff I can steal. Seeing as how my own WIP poll is leaning towards "conversions" and the fact that I've just discovered the awesomeness of the Ash Wastes rulebook (particularly PDF, Bounty Hunter, and Journeymen gangs), I'm sure your minis will prove to be inspiring!

Excellent stuff there, they really look full of character.

Any thoughts on colour scheme(s) yet?

Looking good dude - quick question - where did you get the bearded/scraggy looking heads from?

Have a project underway to convert a platoon of Tanith First and Only and those heads would work perfectly for it if I can get hold of some of them :)

That scraggy bearded head is from the Chaos Marauder sprue.

That guy with the beared marauder head looks great! His pose really seemd to fit his wind blown hair.

The rest of the lot look really good too. It's always great when you plan in advance to build the models with multiple purposes in mind.

My only complaint is with the Catachan knife arm in that second pic. I've always thought that arm would look better if the knife was held pointing back instead of forward.

Can't wait to see more!

o.O They are friggin awesome! Imho they are way better than mine :D
The only problem that I found...when you use the cadian torso with the catachan legs, they have two belts :D

No back handed compliments here. They're nice effective conversions, the marauder head in particular is an excellent choice that I've not seen before. Looks like either a Feral World Guardsman or PDFD who's been AWOL for a long time.

Don't forget to file off those mold lines before you get painting!

Thanks everybody. :D

@ Darkened: Still playing with color schemes, Im thinking of browns and grays though

@ Consectari: The dude with the knife is leaning into his shot at full run, I'll post another pic soon

@ Kommissar: Post your stuff dude, Im sure they will be kool

@ Nightseer: Two belts= more awesomness! J/K....I hope I can paint as well as you

@ Fen: A compliment from the master.....damn thats kool....I did file off the mold lines last night, based them and primered black....
Their story is that they are a Imperial Guard Necromunda squad that has been in combat behind enemy lines for way too long.....
I also want to run them as a PDFD gang.

Hopefully I can get them painted soon :D

Okay, little update:

Got the base colors down ( brown clothing with gray armor)
and I am painting their skin at the moment.
Can't find the damn charger for the stoopid camera and kind of working on a friends WFB Ogres and Shiek's Necro figures that he converted up.
As soon as I charge the camera's battery I'll post some pics.

Liking the colour scheme, breaks away from the norm, and looks suitably natural for all intended purposes. Good choice sir.

I like that colour scheme a lot :)
Oh, and I hate you...some conversion idea came to my mind - kinda based on your guys - now that wouldn't be a problem...if it didn't happen in the middle of the night! :D Anyhow - a BIG thanks for the inspiration! ^^
