These bases were all made by me.
About the "base inserts" made by Wyrd...they are inteded for the raised lip bases, but I think the diameter of the "deeper" area on the base is around 25mm, so those inserts would fit on a normal 25mm base.

Right now those are made of metal, but they plan to switch to resin for the base inserts in a few months.

Heya!

Been working on some terrain:
Modular fences

Soulstone Vein

Graveyard

And a multi-purpose one: Creepy Structure or Magic Nexus (as the pillar has a huge soulstone on the top), and since the round "base" of the statue is 50mm, I can also use it as an Ancient Monument!

Another finished base for the Freikorps:

That's all for now, see ya later!

In the last few days I managed to finish the Freikorps (except Hamelin, but he won't be in FK uniform). I don't aim for painting contests with them, I just wanted to do a "quick" TTQ/TTQ+.

So, on to pics:

You can see some bigger pics in this album. I can also take some close-ups (alright, ask my gf to take those pics) if needed.

C&C welcome!
See ya later!

Those models look incredible. I think the Malifaux models in general look brilliant. I have been tempted to buy the Ortegas but I don't know anyone who plays... one day.

I wanted to ask you whether you've played many games and, if so, how you found the rules and the use of cards instead of dice.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks! Yeah, the Wyrd minis are really awesome (and I plan to get the Ortegas too someday) :) And the rules too. We're still learning them (had about 4 or 5 games), but they are pretty easy to learn, and the system is a well-built one.
I also love the card mechanic, with having 6 (or 7 with the Freikorps) cards in your hand lets you to plan in advance for the turn - and change the outcome of an important action. And since there is a limited number of cards in a deck, if you fail miserably at something (Black Joker, yeah...), you know that most likely it won't happen another time - at least not in that turn.
So, I really love this game, one of the best game systems I've ever seen!

Those miniatures look awesome and I and loving the quality of the paint job you have given them, I wouldn't mind seeing some close ups when there is chance to take some more pictures.
Also if these are your "quick TTQ/TTQ+" painting skills, please let us see your painting contest levels of painting... just give me some prior warning as I have a feeling I will need to catch my jaw.

Thanks! Well, the contest level things will be the girls on the first page, after some touch-ups - I'll try to finish them in the next month. :)

Aaaand...I'm finally finished with the Freikorps crew, so there are close ups of everyone in the crew - and decided that they will get some sort of display base, just a plain black one.

On to the pics:

And Hamelin (that's why I call this a "quick" method - painted him in around 6 hours)

Something for the display base:

Oh, and a fun group shot, they look really intimidating on this one!

Made some corner pieces for the fences too:

More photos on Imageshack.
That's it for now, c&c welcome!

See ya later!

Right, (almost) last update on the Freikorps. Made the display base for them...I didn't really like the look of a plain black one, so done some work on it...

And now I'm off to paint some Death Marshals...see ya later!

Sorry if you mentioned this already and I missed it, but how did you paint that verdigris effect (on the FREIKORPS display base sign, for example)? It looks pretty excellent, and my various attempts haven't come out anywhere near as good. Would you mind putting up a little tutorial on it?

I use a home-made "verdigris wash" for it. Made it from VGC Verdigris Glaze, VGC Electric Blue and a little drop of Livery Green, and a LOT of water.
Since I wanted to do a tutorial on brass in the past few weeks, but I kinda forgot about it, guess I'll do it on this weekend :)

Finally I've been able to get myself to take some (REALLY BAD) photos of the painted LadyJ&Sonnia crews (painted them in less than 3 days...).

The thing that's been distracting me for a long time (AND the reason why I still didn't do the brass tutorial):
Image

Alright, let's see the crew pics! (will take some better ones when I have the time...)

LadyJ (the photo doesn't really show that she looks great :( )
Image
Image

Sonnia
Image
Image

Judge
Image

Samael
Image

Death Marshals
Image

Witchling Stalkers

Image

That's it for now :) Oh, and I painted something to use as a Convict Gunslinger, but I forgot to take photos of him....
Next painted thing will most likely be something for my Ramos crew.

See ya later!

It's REALLY time for an update, since I've done a lot of work...

Let's start with the Arcanists, things for my Ramos crew.

Steampunk Arachnids
Since I don't really like the original sculpt for them, I used something different...Necron Scarabs! I love those cute little buggers :) There are blue arachnids and a blue swarm, red arachnids and a red swarm, and I'll be adding green arachnids as an extra to the other crew members' bases.
Image
Image

Steampunk Arachnid Swarms

On the blue one you can see how these little things are made. Ramos summons them? Nah, that's a lie ;)
Image
Image

Mobile Toolkit
It's kinda the same thing with the arachnids, the original sculpt looks a bit...strange. AND since it can give a Tome to Casting, I found it fitting to make it actually carry a book. The other one has a toolbox...
Image
Image

Rusty Alyce (WIP)
Had to find some use for the AUSCON Steampunk Dorothy...yeah, she has no mechanical limbs, but she looks great anyway! I think I'll paint some part of her clothes with rust-like colours 'cause of her name. Oh, and her base is done.
Image
Image

Then, better shots of the Guild crews (now you can actually see them...)

LadyJ
Image

Sonnia
Image

Samael
Image

Judge
Image

Death Marshals
Image

Witchlings

Image

You can see back shots of every guild thing in this album.

The last thing is a counts-as Convict Gunslinger...he managed to grab the coat of some guild official while escaping ;)
Image
Image

That's all for now, see ya sometime later! (and the promised brass tutorial will be FINALLY done today, I already have the pics taken)

More quality work you have there NightseeR. Those bases are awesome too, I guess they are also home made? What have you used to make them, in particular the Steampunk Arachnid bases.

Keep up the good work and keep the posts coming.

Thanks! The majority of the bases is homemade, except the ones under the Ramos crew (arachnids, rusty alyce, mobile toolkit...), those are Power Plant bases from Micro Art Studio.
