Update time, at least a small one... (with 100% more brass tutorial!)

3 Mechanical Doves for Colette

A small piece of terrain (on the straight edge it will join a mine entrance of some sort)
Image

AND finally here comes the brass tutorial promised AGES ago.

I recommend this to be the first step in painting the mini, because it can get quite messy.

Image
Paints used: VGC Brassy Brass, Bright Bronze, Citadel Devlan Mud Wash, Shining Gold, and a 'verdigris wash' made of VGC Verdigris Glaze, VGC Falcon Turquoise, a little bit of VGC Livery Green and a LOT of water.

Step 1.
Image
Undercoat your minis. I sprayed them white, but you can do this over a black primer too.

Step 2.
Image
Paint the brass parts with Brassy Brass(white undercoat) OR drybrush them with Brassy Brass (black undercoat).

Step 3.
Image
Wash the brass parts with Devlan Mud.

Step 4.
(meh, forgot to take a pic of this one)
Heavy drybrush with Bright Bronze.

Step 5.
Image
Light drybrush with Shining Gold.

Step 6.
Image
Wash all the metal areas with (EVEN MORE watered down) verdigris wash, let it dry, and it's done! Now you can paint the other details, including their cute little soulstone eyes :)

This technique is pretty easy, quick (didn't take more than 20 minutes even with taking pictures), and it looks great!

That's it for now, see ya later!

I simply love the Western-Style of your terrain. That makes them all gunslingers and especially those naughty girls come into the picture. When reading about the tracks leading to a mine, I had the picture of that old western miner with a blunderbuss saying in a rustled voice: "Hey yankee, that's my claim!" :D

That French maid looks incredible. I have a few Reaper sculpts, and I think they're brilliant for use in Necromunda.

Your terrain is cool as well. I suppose you have plans for a small town???

Keep up the good work,
Dave

That's a great idea! I might have to find a suitable mini for that... ;)

Yeah, I do. A few houses, some train tracks, a mine entrance, a water tower...hopefully I'll be able to finish it for a contest in December.

Thanks a lot! :)
Well, D6 is fun, but cards are awesome, trust me ;)

And...wow, an update again...but no minis! I finally have pics of our WIP gaming table!

First half measured and cut to size (yeah, and some beer in the background:D )
Image

Test fitting&gluing the base of the train tracks to the second half
Image

Base of the tracks and a mine entrance, the brown part is a test piece for the base colour, looks quite nice
Image

The view from the mine
Image

I'm planning to do a small road and a railway platform on the other half, and I might add some soulstone veins to the mine...
More WIPs coming next week!

Thanks! :)

Terrain time again...

Railway platform-thingy (WIP)

Then, some WIPs:
Kaeris crew
Image
Image

And our favorite fiery gal herself, Kaeris in all her magnetized glory!
Image

Oh, and a group shot of the M&SU crew (this will be the layout for their display base):
Image

Next month, I have to finish: Kaeris, 2 Gunsmiths, Dorothy, the Steamborg, MAYBE the 3 Gamins. And a couple of various miniatures and display bases. It will be a tough challenge...

That's it for now, see ya later!
