So this has been in my "to do" list for quite some time. And I was a bit tired of always painting gold (for my Adeptus Custodes army).

I've always loved Necromunda, it's one of the best GW games I've played. I love that RPG feel which you can't really find in another GW game (Gorkamorka was just a Necromunda for orks)
But as time went by I couldn't find other players, so I packed the minis and moved on.
I never forget it though and I recently found some friends of mine that would be very interested. I didn't needed more.

My "plan" is to prepare/convert/build/paint anything I can get my hands on that seems relevent to the Hive. For example I found an brand new Arachnarok in my stash which will make a great hive spider queen once eyes reworked.

I went through my stuff and found Delaques, Goliaths, Orlocks, Ratskins, Spyrers and some desperados, Bounty Hunters, Wyrds and Special characters ( about 100 figures). Nice! And I'm pretty sure I missed some.

There's a lot of stripping, rebasing, converting and Paintscheme improving to do but..... Yeah I'm really in.

So I began with the Goliaths. There not my favorite gang (I'm more of a Delaque or Spyrer guy)but I had what I needed for them.

I wanted to get a nice look but didn't wanted to have to spend 10h on each mini like I've always done.

4h of work and here's what I came uo with.

This no GD winner material, but I think it's an acceptable tabletop. And also, now that I'm settled I think I can go faster with a bit chainpainting...

And now for something completely different.

There's a special character I've always loved that never got his mini: Bull Gorg.

I wanted to try to convert him for a long, long time! Iremember drooling when I saw Mark Bedford's in the WD.
I began researching some ideas a few month ago. And I found that brilliant job by Pega

http://www.coolminiornot.com/105672?browseid=3764290
http://www.coolminiornot.com/139649?browseid=3764619

But there was a lot of sculpting involved. And I don't sculpt.... Not really anyway.
I tried to get around with my usual Kitbashing... No way.

So I finally thought "Why the hell not?" and here's my very first scuplt job.

I definitely don't have Pega's talent, but I think it's not so bad.
I might have to add some extra details on the saws. I don't know.

What do you think?

Your Goliath has a really sharp comix-style look. I thought old Goliath minis couldn't look good - awesome job!
As per the fatty - your sculpting looks just fine - as if you've achieved what was intended. Looking forward to see him (and other 100) painted, man!

That was the exact intent for comic book style look. And thank you.

Though I'm currently moving, I managed to keep a paint box and he's on his way. As a tribute to Mark Bedford, whom I'm a big fan, I'll keep his paint scheme for saws and pants.

Next I think I'm gonna work on the Spyrers. And though the original figure are nice, I think there'll be some convertion....

Keep C&C coming!

The Goliath looks great! Nice paint scheme and basing.

Love the big man with the chain swords. He came out really nice.
Can't wait to see him painted.

I look forward to your future projects. :chaos

Thanks very much mates for your kind words

Now, I'm currently moving so sorry for the crappy pictures....

As for the Goliaths I came across Xcorac's blog:
http://supermassivebeast.blogspot.fr/
His Goliaths are far better than mine, and I was incumfortable using the same paintscheme as him. So I switched paintscheme and went for something from the Codex Necromundis' cover.

Also painted the leader

Still not awesome but not so bad.

Bull Gorg 's on his way .

I'm currently kinda stuck because I really want to use Mark Bedford's paintscheme from that awesome conversion he did way back..... But all my WD are packed, and, oddly, I couldn't find anything on the web .... Si if any of you have the correct WD and could help me out ( I seem to remember the pants were red and yellow stripped and the chainsaws were red with flames.....

And finally my first scenery

Which will be used as a Sump Hole or a gang's hangout.....

What do you think?

yeah that is classy.

We've got a wehole load of extra characters, like barmen, whores, smithies, greasemonkeys... it'd be great to get them into the game somehow.

As a matter of fact I also DO plan to add "civilians", this idea came when I was at Nashtrickster's (Ashpit Harry) and I saw him play to the last Assassin's Creed... The whole idea of a stealth assasination amongst regular people was very appealling to me.
I don't like the usual scenarios very much (I play with the original rules), they're too "common" to my taste, that usual "everybody wreck 'em all " that's fun but much too limited to my taste. Like I said I wanna build something a bit more interesting ( to me and my buddies) regarding figures, sceneries AND scenarios.
For example I'm a HUGE fan of Kal Jerico (who isn't) and I'd love to be able to create or recreate some ofhis adventures. So I'm also planning/gathering what I need to convert/represent Wotan, Guzmann Ludd, Yolanda, Nemo, Cheka, Cardinal Crimson (at least Burnt and Spider-infected versions), Vandal Feg (again at least two versions of him), ......
And I also plan to do this with the Redeemer, and have the largest colection of special characters I can (from the 40k universe or not; for example my Heresy miniatures Malcolm Reynolds, Kaylee, Sheppard ,.... that I wanna also add because Firefly rules and also Riddick because I wanna see him use a tin can opener ( can't remember the real name) to kill somebody ...

Am I mad and too ambitious? Probably... Definitely.
But as the great philosopher Mick Jaeger said "time is on my side.... Yes it is!"

No if you got an idea I wanna hear about it!

Now for something completely different

Nice 3 day Week end.... As Al Bundy said LET'S ROCK!

Now this is WIP

There's a lot still missing; mainly the sculptjob. This is just some bits assembly.

YELD

Image
Image

Legs and torso: DE Scourges
Wings: Kabuki' Corax
Arms and lasgun: Eldars
His main problem: the wings attachements are much too large.... Weight Watcher?

ORRUS

Image
Image
Image

Legs: Tau Stealth and SM scout boots
Torso: Tau Fire Warrior ( enlarged a bit)
power fists and bolt throwers: Zinge Industries (bolt throwers are just shells... for now)
Some Dragonforge cables missing

MALCADONS

Image
Image
Image

legs and head; Scourges, torso; Hellion arms; hydra gauntlets DE
Web throwers: Necron particle casters with blades from the old DE rifle's baïonnettes.
Head's lower part Maxmini's generic male heads.

Image
Image

Legs: Scourges, torse Hellion DE
Arms: Eldar guardian
Web throwers: Necron particle casters with blades from the old DE rifle's baïonnettes.
the hand withe the severed heads are from the WHFB Skaven range.
Missing her head ( probably much alike the other one's).

JAKARA

Image
Image

Legs: wytches, torso: hellion DE
Arms: Eldar Avenger exarch
Shield: Necron dispersion field
also missing her head (I don't have any real idea for it) and the cannon part of the shield ( for sending back the energy)

Voilà.
I'll probably do 2 versions of each rig (one male, one female)..... Still a lot of work to do!
