Well there are 6 Tyranid Warriors, 8 Genestealers, 2 Hybrids, 2 5-man Scout Squads, 4 Terminators and a Terminator Librarian. Dice, many different counters, board sections, rulebook, and cards.

I finally got it on ebay.

I had infos from GW themselves.
Tyrannid attack is just advanced space crusade.
The box contains some few different things and the rules are just modified on some points for the USA.
In fact, the million seller SPACE CRUSADE boardgame in Europe, more popular than Space Hulk, had so many fans so they have decided to release a advanced board game which encountered success only in UK but for some reasons this game was a little bit changed for the american players.(more riented on space hulk series)

If anyone needs the rules I have a PDF of this... and ASC... in fact most of the old games.
Many a long hour spent playing ASC in the early 90s! :)

Ah, Tyranid Attack. I will always look back at this game with fondness, I was still working at GW when this came out. Good way to build up your Tyranid force. The game was a bit limited though. If memory serves the game could be won quite easily if you got the organs quickly, or bloody hard if you had to go through all of the board sections. I think my nephew got my set.

I have a pristine copy of ASC that I got before flying out to Afghan and haven't had a chance to play yet? Is it a good game; I love the black and white rule book with the excellent pencil drawings that were so common at the time; it's so nostalgic! Agh why can't GW still be like that rather than a big Toys R Us for their three core games (one of which is a hideous pile of crap that burns my eyes with the rays of a million suns!)
I guess now that specialist games have been dropped there's even less chance of a return to the good old day!!

I finally managed to get a copy of the rules this week. I have to say - and I apologise to the mods as this may constitute a flame, but everyone claiming it's the same game ruleswise as Advanced Space Crusade is talking pure rubbish.

Aside from the nitty gritty minutia (which ASC has in spades and Tyranid Attack doesn't) a rather major difference in gameplay is that in ASC all models are in effect on overwatch at all times (there is a dedicated Overwatch action, but what it does is bump reaction fire up from a Snap fire to an Aimed fire - unless the model chooses to go on Overwatch with a primed grenade) whilst Tyranid Attack doesn't even HAVE an Overwatch option. Not to mention ASC is basically an action point system unless a model takes a 'full round action' whilst Tyranid Attack is a simplistic MOVE+ATTACK or ATTACK+MOVE system.

I just managed to get a copy if TA too, and you're right aside from the board pieces and some of the same figures iris a substantially different beast to ASC.
