Not 100% sure but its definately Japanese. They are the only ones who put rear facing mgs on their turrets. A strange choice for the first promo.

Nah. Japs are not in the first set. They will be in the third. It is more likely an Italian Carro Armato L6/40 light tank.

It has to be Japanese because of the rear facing machinegun. They were the only ones that did that. Besides, it had the wrong number of road wheels and return rollers to be an Italian L6.

I can't explain it; perhaps it was the one they are currently making molds for. Hopefully, the final minis with have nation markings. In any case, it won't last long on the battlefield.

More info about A&A minis. Well, not much. Just a picture of a mini. This time there will be no disagreement since they tell us what it is: a Humber scout car. I really wish they would show some infantry stands. Those I'm worried about.

This could be a very cool thing to collect, if not play.

I'm worried. Word from Hasbro is that infantry will be one mini per stand. That'll reduce the usefullness for using the minis in other games like FoW.

The Russians also had a few tanks with rear facing machine guns on the back of the main turret. For example the early KV series of heavy tanks.

Having said that, I agree that the promo tank is pretty much an exact match for the Japanese type 95.

Your right. I know I shouldn't trust my memory. I (finally) looked it up, the Russians put rear mgs on their KV and IS series of heavy tanks, their T-26 and on their BT tanks with a 76mm gun (and corresponding slow heavy turret). I'm not sure about the T-28.

Anyway, Avalon Hill put out a few more previews, this time with stat cards for their some of the tanks.

Someone also scanned an add in the latest issue of Scrye magazine which shows a tiny infantry dude.
