This year I have decided to do something a bit different and invent my own 28mm zombie survival game. Ideas right now are in my mind and next week work will begin. I will be using the necromunda rules as a base example and adjusting them to suit my needs. It will be totally transformed and repackaged as my own game and will be wanting to have a finished product by summer.
Hoping to release a hard back rule book as the rule set. Mostly for my own enjoyment as the game is for me and my friends but copies will be available at publishers price. I wont mark it up for my own pockets if anyone ever wanted to get a copy for their gaming collection. Fans of necromunda will take to it strait away and almost be able to pick up and play.

Heres the catch, what on earth should I call it? I am toying with SurvivalZed. But thats only the first name I came up with. Or simply Infestation. If you guys wanna give any examples or ideas you would like to see in a zombie game post bellow. If you post something that I have already got covered I will bounce my ideas back and we can get a group chat about it.

Really hyped on this and will hopefully have a link for the book shop in the near future!

Do you have any sculptures, artists or painters as of yet? Is it too soon to worry about the miniature end of it?

Infestation sounds cool, but it sorta has a lice/insectish sorta thing like it makes think of a house full of cockroaches.

What about Apocalypse Z, or has that been taken? Zed Apocalypse?

Anyway I would be interested in a copy of your game :)

I didnt want it to be just 'Z'. Loads of that already. Plus we pronounce the letter differently.

I do not plan on having a line of minis. Unless I get contacted. Or people say its good enough and I get enough encouragement to do a kickstarter or something. Id rather approach a company like hasslefree minis as ask them to promote their minis to go with my game. Who knows. this is mostly for myself but will be made public to buy. Im avoiding a PDF game though. I prefer a physical copy.

You actually have a good name for it right here. Imagine its 3000 days since the outbreak...

I had no idea how challenging this is gonna be!
Got as far as the movement, you have to be so careful with what you put to make sure theres no game bugs.
I jsut need to get the core rules down then I can work on the fun bits like scenarios and weapon lists :fullauto

As far as a name, how about 'The Z Word'? I quite like infestation, Is it futuristic, present day or a post apocalyptic setting?

What about vehicles? I love the bit in Shaun of the Dead where Ed runs over a pedestrian and they reverse back to see if it was a zombie or a live human. Nissan Juke with bull bars! Woopwoop!
