It's been a while since I've posted anything around here (although I lurk daily), so I thought I'd blast up a bunch of pics of some games we've been playing in the last few months or so. I stopped writing up proper battle reports because they were extremely time consuming (and there's too many games going to cover them all anyway) but we do always take pics of our games.

Space Marines & Tau vs Chaos, Dark Eldar & Necrons
This was a modest sized five player game. It was another improvised game when everyone showed up with an army looking for a scrap.

Overview after set-up

Space Marine vs Iron Warriors
This was an interesting game which pitted two similair forces against one another. In the end the Iron Warriors won the day (but just barely).

Necrons vs Iron Warriors
My friend Jason and I ended up fighting each other an awful lot. He would field his Necrons and I would use my Iron Warriors. We must have fought at least a dozen games against each other with the same armies. Here are some shots from some of those games.

Space Marines & Space Marines vs Necrons
In this battle (which was the response to a challenge issued by the Necrons) 4000 points of Necrons would face two armies of Space Marines (2000 points each). As it turned out, the Marines were victorious. Of course the Necron Lord and his unit deep striking off the table might have something to do with it (something like an 800 point unit, ouch).

Thanks for posting, they're some great pictures.
Probably the best photography I've seen outside of White Dwarf.

Wow!

You got some nice games going there.

Good setups (terrain wise) too!

Any chance we can get the BatReps too? :)

Wow. Lucky me to have found this on a friend's computer and not my own.
My PC would have crashed upon clicking the thread from all the pics!

But anywho, great pics none the less.
Where did you guys get the civilian vehicles?

While I can recall the outcome and the general flow of each game, it's hard to recall exactly what happened turn by turn in any given battle. The only way to ensure this is to take notes during play and this proves to be a real chore. I found myslef focusing too much on producing accurate and interesting battle reports and less on actually playing and enjoying the game.

If I do post some more batreps it will probably be for games that I'm not actually playing in.

My batrep threads do tend to be pic heavy, but I try to advertise that in the subject for the thread.

Most of them are Old Crow. They produce an immpressive range of Sci-Fi vehicles. I highley recommend them. http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/25vehicles.htm[/quote]

Others are 3d paper models that I lifted from various sources on the web.

One thing that can help is a digital recorder of some type, such as video taping the battle or using a digital audio device. I've never done it myself, but I have heard of some players who tape thier battle to watch back like sports teams will do.

Mmmhh... too many wheels, I would not say.. I have four of them and don't look like that!
More like some 1735 or 1/48 military vehicle adapted to 40K!
