Yeah well, title says it. nothing too special but I felt I would tell everyone because thats the power of the internet!

The reason: I needed a trophey for GDUK10 (GDUK08 was the early marine release so my TFC morvern and LRR corryvreakan along with the codex, GDUK09 was winning the quiz on the coach down and earning a cheap plastic medal!) so I thought: screw it, I have one of each standard land raider (that is not uncommon for me to field all three at once which can lead to some good fun!) so I thought: what tank could I possibly get that makes me a true treadhead without doubt and then I spotted it: a shadowsword!

Right now the thing is constructed however is able to switch between all 6 variants (only limitation is that the sponsons are HBs only...I think, might be changable in the future) and removable sponsons. Still trying to remember all the names and which goes where (doomhammer is the magma cannon, the banesword uses a quake cannon, the stormsword uses a stormsword cannon, shadowsword uses the volcano cannon, the banehammer uses the tremor cannon and the stormlord uses the vulcan mega bolter...did I get it right?) however I need a name for it!

Yes however there is a catch I gave myself: it has to have an intial name and a nickname given to it because I want it to be that the chassis has actually been all 6 variants in it's life time (I have considered making a rule for when I use it I roll a D6 to determine the type it is representing it at one of it's stages in life!). I mean I was thinking along the lines of 'eternal iron' for it but it sounds too obvious and somewhat cliche (almost every baneblade class super heavy has iron in it's name!).
Open to suggestions but I would like something characterful (if it helps, by fluff timeline, it started as a shadowsword). The nickname however is something that refers to the fact the tank has yet to be considered unsalvagable or considered spare parts for other baneblade class tanks.

And does anyone know of a UK retailer who sells magnets (you know the kind, rare earth ones) for cheap or does every dog, cat and cats, squeaky toy sell magnets for the cheap?

If you have any rule sets for pretty much anything games workshop related, I would be greatful if you could point me in the direction of them or even better give me a copy. Things like the armoured company and such if what I am looking for etc. (even the specialist games which got expansions). PM if you have anything of my interest.

Super-heavy tank sponsons are commonly available on eBay as bitz if you want to have extras for the ultimate in flexibility.

Super-heavy tanks always seem to have pompous-sounding names like "bastion of defiance" or "hammer of the emperor". A tank probably gets a name early in its career and it would only change if it were involved in something truly remarkable. Possibly its configuration changes were the result of it being terribly damaged in battle, with the loss of all crew, and being pieced back together by the Adeptus Mechanicus.

I get my magnets from a US company, Amazing Magnets.
