some may know i got some time for these guys. here are some parts of the new codex. i doubt its 100% true but its got the main idea if anything:

some people on here say they lack personality or anything, well to me that was one of the best things and now GW have gone and ruined that idea

It's certainly an EXTREME retcon of all previous Necron fluff. They went from being the pitiful slaves of the C'Tan to being their masters.

I always thought the idea for the "real" Necron army that the developers were always shooting for was rank upon rank of relentless metal skeletons whose only desire was to exterminate all life. But of course players love their bling and will take the flashy special units even if the basic ones can get the job done. And customizing your HQ characters is a metagame unto itself, which the Necrons couldn't really play.

So, this codex has all the bling and special characters of any other normal army. But on the other hand... basic Necrons are cheaper now but still very capable. You can field a lot more of them for the same number of points. So maybe this will allow those who DO love the legion of mindless metal skeletons to play that army even better than before.

I don't know what I think about the new Necrons. There are certainly lots of new models to buy, and that's the main point I guess. I never really liked the old Necrons so I'm not bothered by changes to them.

i nkow where your coming from. i only have 50 warriors right now and with the reduction i can get 2 more boxes for the same price. plus they wont phase! my army wont change too much. i will end up with more points than i have now as there are many that i want. what i really want though right now is a cool hq with royal guard. mostly for the looks of them really. im watching 5 pariahs on ebay right now to use as my lords though otherwise it will be very exspensive

so i spent the best part of £120 of my hard earned today. yeh cool models. but resin is so poor. it had air bubbles, its fragile and the spears are bent. in future ill be avoiding resin models like the plague

Some tasty new treats for sure!

Now when is some one going to get around to converting those new units to 2nd edition rules?

well my army is now 95% painted (not including the bases, i doubt i will ever do these).

last night i completed these 2 triach stalkers.
they are rather bulky so they have magnets on all the limbs and the cockpits.

unlike the new codex suggests im keeping mine original and old looking. its just chainmail with heavy coats of washes and then a final detail of scorpion green and tin blitz.
