In the perfect world, people might get paid to play Necromunda, in fact, in the perfect world, Necromunda would be available retail in most toy or bookstores, and a great legion of players would be ever present to act out vicious battles in the Underhive. But this ain't a perfect world. Family life, work, health, friends, etc... the amount of stuff that can get in the way of people playing Necromunda is daunting at times. This is just a quick post to figure out how many people on here play regularly.
At the moment, my group of 5 has a gaming night every Wednesday, with more on the way as our football season winds down. What about you guys?

I get to play about 4-5 times a year. On rare occassions, one of those games might be Epic:Armageddon instead of Necro.

I play Necromunda every two weeks. Also, oddly enough, on Wednesday nights.

I have only recently gotten back into painting. I hadn't picked up a paint brush since December.

However, I've been gaming either Necromunda or Mordheim every other week since about 2006. I did however take a 6 month break when my daughter was born and would miss games when family stuff comes up.

I would love to get some gaming in on the weekends, so that i can get larger and longer games in. However, errands and family obligations usually take up my weekend prime gaming hours.

I "normally" get to play 40k a couple times a month. One of my buddies works some really odd ball hours and has a wife and 2 kids. My other buddy is finishing up his University classes and is trying get paper work sorted out so his wife can move here from the States, sadly him being as unemplyed as I am hes out of gas and is unable to play.
I could play more if i went to the local store, but frankly the local sence there is weak. Their all high school kids whom havent figured out how deorderent works. And frankly I can drink and "smoke" in a public store.
So im willing to take a lax in gaming.

I play semi-reguarly, it's more a matter of

a) can my friend be arsed
b) can I be bothered
c) is my boyfriend about to distract me
and oddly enough as of late
d) do I have painting todo and help solve my irrational annoyance of unpainted armies making me look like the average teen who just buys the stuff >.>

Also, I've being considering visiting my FLGS this summer for one of the teaching sundays. Though I'm not sure where'd I'd fit in with a planned army full of deepstrikers and infiltrators. XD

few months back me & 2 mates played once/twice a week. Then that started to drop off to nothing.
Just this week moved to London so won't be doing any until I find a house at least :)

more of my time is occupied with painting, modelling & rule-bashing my setting to my own twisted taste :)

I get to go play once a month. If I try to go out more often, my wife starts complaining about how SHE never gets to go out, and how I never spend time with the family. I try to kick her out of the house at least once a month (not permanently, just for the afternoon/evening so she can occasionally have time to herself), but it somehow doesn't work out that well.

@Adoni-Zedak-

Wow. That sounds EXACTLY like my wife.

All she does is worry about inane crap like drapes/curtains/pillow covers, winter shoes for our daughter (out of season mind you) and other such inconsequential stuff.

I try to play Necromunda about twice a month and I kick her out of the house about as often. However, she goes out and does shopping on her time off and then complains that she didn't get time to her self.

I then tell her, use your time more effectively for de-stressing. Then she gets annoyed with me.

The one thing that I NEVER get time for is painting. All non-Necromunda related free time is spent running errands, working part-time, or just catching up on sleep.

Is this the usual scenario for married gamers with kids?

I still play Neromunda RP as often as I can, currently using an old char who's a private investigator/bounty hunter. A PI in The Underhive is fun!

I've been trying to get a WHFRP 2nd ed. game started for ages, with no luck beyond a couple of single intro scenes with one other player.

Hell, Remulack, it seems to be the average scenario for married people for whatever. My friends are starting to reproduce quite now and it's dramatic to see their time-for-things-not-related-with-children sink to nothing.
Personally, I play irregularly. Once a month except on holydays. Two members of our four people group are working in Germany (Spain is quite (&#$@!) up with the crisis thing. It was crappy before, but now it's ridiculous. Please, europeans, get rid of us. If you thought Greece had problems, just sit and wait. The best is about to come. Olé), so we meet in Christmas and so and get some more games. We're looking for new gamers, but it's difficult. Some people seem interested, but we're a bit exquisite about with whom we share hours of gaming. We're turning old.
My girl is just lovely. Either she keeps doing her stuff at the other rooms or she makes plans outdoors. Just now, she is having some beers with friends. Of course, one has to manage free time in order to have a bit of everything and have everyone happy. Asking some days before organizing a game never hurts.

I play around 6 to 8 times a year.

I have a group that games every Thursday night and we get into at least one good run of Necromunda a year.

Would like to play more but sadly we have a person who cheats and that starts lots of problems.
Line of site issues, concealed dice rolls, wrong damaged recorded, concealed level ups, etc...

He is the same way with 40K...

Never could understand that stuff, it is a game and meant to fun! Plus I have been on the fuzzy end of the stick and I still have a great time watching my gang get shredded! Gives them character.

My group (recently chanced upon by going back to uni and joining the gaming and roleplaying soc) play usually over second semester (January to May), around once per week; sometimes more, sometimes less.

We get together at the local GW, get ushered upstairs (we can't use the downstairs tables, we are the scorned ones...) and play one or two games.

I've had one or two people in said same group described as "whiney (&#$@!)", who don't like losing and subsequently try to bend rules to their favour, and I've seen the stuff as wfwhite59 talks about from them too.

Hopefully there'll be more players this year and we can get a proper campaign going (last year it was just playing random battles with experience and territories)!

our group moved into roleplaying for a while (White Wolf if you must know), but we're just kicking off our biggest campaign yet. We're trying to create an arbitrator-less campaign.

Well, I just got an update email, so forgive the necro.

I dug my minis out with the intention of finishing some paint jobs, but they're still sitting on my garage shelf a year later.

I have someone I could play with, but we're both pretty busy nowadays.

Ah well.

Hi everybody! :rapidfire
