abadab, thank you so much for bringing up Once Were Warriors, I have just finished watching it and that movie is INTENSE!!!!

On topic, I have also recently watched "The Town" and "machete". Machete was hilarious and as much as I hate to say it (I hate Ben Affleck), "The Town" was really good fun.

glad to be of service :)

yeah I watched Machete the other day and thought it was great up until the last 15 minutes that I thought was just too silly and let the rest of the movie down.

Also Frozen is possibly the worst film ever made, at least it's hillariously bad, but it seriously awful

Once Were Warriors is great! If you get a chance see the sequel What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted - don't think it ever made it to disk.
Another great kiwi film/evils of colonization/revenge flick is UTU. it starts slow but goes over the top.

The french horror seems to have replaced the japanese horror craze:
THEM (2006) [which was remade into the Strangers in the US- ick] is awesome.
Baxter - is a great dog horror story.
Shietain - is filmed great but ends week.
Left Bank - as above
A Prophet - is a great jail flick.

Inquisitor Vex, you should also check out "MUTANTS", great infection apocalypse story a la "28 Days Later" meets "Mutant Chronicles"!

Paul and it's bleedin' amazing, chock full of sci-fi references, but you don't have to be a nerd to enjoy the film. Instant entry into my top 5 :)

You know, I have been getting that a lot lately at my work. I should have dressed as silent bob and made my girlfriend dress as Jay for Halloween LOL

Just saw Puss in Boots 3D in the cinema. I enjoyed them film (I like all the Shrek movies) but I don't like having to wear the glasses, I found I was getting a headache near the end, :-o so I won't be volunteering to go and see any more 3d movies in the future. Has anyone else got the brain pain from 3D glasses?

Managed to watch the new Red Dawn.

I am a huge fan of the original, and I have to say that I really liked the new re imagining of Red Dawn. I would add it to my collection for sure.

Total Recall. Looper. Cloud Atlas.

That did me a world of good, especially in terms of vertical stacking potentials. All great films.
