Couldn't really figure out where to place this topic, as it's more of a board game than a miniatures game or an RPG...

Has anyone tried this game out yet? Everything I've read thus far seems to paint the game as being nothing short of awesome. The only downside I've heard is that you'll wind up spending several hours assembling the minis and a few read-throughs to understand the rules, but once the game gets going, it's a combination of "Disgaea, HeroQuest, and Gauntlet." - Quote by Adam from the Warhammer Tau blog

I think the only thing really holding my back from getting this is the $90 price tag, mainly because a lack of opponents means I'd be holding onto it for awhile before I might get to play. Of course, that *would* give me time to paint everything up...

Though they haven't announced anything yet as far as expansions go, but somehow I get the feeling that they'll be around eventually.

I haven't tried it, but I've heard mixed reviews on Boardgamegeek. That said, if you are paying $90 for this, you are making a huge mistake. Check it out here on Cool Stuff Games...less than $60!

Well, $90 retail. Between eBay and other online venues I rarely pay full retail for hobby stuff anymore. I have yet to pay anywhere near retail for the entire library of 40K RPG books, there's a vendor on eBay that sells stuff pretty much as cost + reasonable shipping, so I may check with them to see if they carry it, should I wind up deciding to purchase it.

EDIT: Yep, that vendor does carry the game, for well under $90 with shipping included.

I managed to buy this game for $50, I had a gift certificate :D

Anyway, the mini's are pretty fricking cool, a bit anima, but a nice break from other styles.

The art on the boards looks amazing. Sadly I haven't assembled or played the game as of yet. I know I know, i am such a slacker :(
