I was browsing the official Specialist Games forum and found the link under the Necromunda section.

Since I last posted here (Note: posted, not lurked...) I have become a prefessional search engine optimiser. I have some free advice.

This is what the splash page for your site looks like:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<html>
<head>
<meta content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"
http-equiv="content-type">
<title>Eastern Fringe</title>
</head>
<body>
<div style="text-align: center;"><br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<a href="http://easternfringe.com/forum/portal.php"><span
style="text-decoration: underline;"><img alt="Eastern Fringe"
src="http://www.easternfringe.com/templates/EFF_black_n_green/images/header_short.jpg"
style="border: 0px solid ; width: 635px; height: 150px;"></span></a><br>
<span class="postbody"><big style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);"><big><big>Isn't
it time to see what you've been missing?</big></big></big>
</span><br>
<a href="http://easternfringe.com/forum/portal.php"><span
style="text-decoration: underline;"></span></a></div>
</body>
</html>

I have disabled the HTML so you can see this. Firstly, the title tag needs to have some of your keywords in it, eg: "Eastern Fringe - Necromunda, Warhammer 40k and other wargames"
ou also need a keywords and description tag for this page. I haven't checked all the pages, bu the title and description tags should be relevant to each page. These are very important to a php based site like this because search engines don't like php much.

Anchor text for the links you send out are very important.

A link text of:
"Take a look at this really good site that has loads of great information about warhammer, necromunda, warhammer 40k and other wargames."
Is much better than:
"Take a look at this really good site that has loads of great information about warhammer, necromunda, warhammer 40k and other wargames."

You can join up with other similar groups and exchange links for mutual benefit, so some kind of gaming resources page is in order.

Hope that helps.[/u]

Was that sarcasm? Or are you just busy fixing those problems?

I came through the link on the SG website.

EFF has:
A. Better structured Forum.
B. More activity.

Both of those are very good things.

LOL, no that wasn't sarcasm at all. When I check the forums I start at the bottom and work my way up to the Necromunda section. After that I do any maintainence that is required or do updates to the forums. And when people give advice or suggestions to help improve the EFF, I take it all very seriously. While not all of it may get implemented, it is all taken under consideration.

Originally from the SG forums, I've now pretty much migrated here, I found it sometimes lacks the sort of thing I'm interested in, or just things I don't get. (due to rferences to older rulesets, sometimes happens here, but I still like the Fringe)

Surprisingly, I have seen no other person who has followed the link from Wikipedia, like me.

It's not blasphemy or something, is it?

I came across the Heart of the Heresy homepage some years ago while googling Rogue Trader.
Recently.. I regoogled Heart of the Heresy looking for a place to (&#$@!) about 3rd/4th ed 40k, and found everyone had moved here.
Mwahaha.
