So what do you guys think, should the Eastern Fringe have a Myspace presence?

It seems like everyone and everything has a Myspace page, perhaps the Eastern Fringe should too.

What does everyone think?

For the old and out of touch, like myself, what exactly do you do with a MySpace page? "Everybody's doing it" doesn't seem like a specific benefit.

My honest answer would have to be "no." If you would really like a social-networking place outside of the Fringe itself, I would suggest looking to Facebook instead. While I have both MySpace and Facebook, the latter would be much better (IMO) at reaching the intended audience.

Why is Facebook better then Myspace. I find Facebook to be rather counter intuitive to use.

As for using MySpace, I figured it might be a good way to promote the Eastern Fringe and activities we have on the Eastern Fringe, like the Painting Contests and the Gang Creation going on in the Necromunda section.

I wouldn't go to either MyFace or Spacebook. Say no to cultural trends.

Don't whore yourself out to the social scene McCragge.

They're fads man! Fads!

I dunno if it'd be a good idea. Of all the people I know, the only ones who like myspace are the same ones who don't like facebook - it seems you only find either one or the other annoyingly formatted and counterintuitive. So, if everyone else is like my friends in this regard, you'd find that a chunk of the users of this forum would not bother looking at it.

As Tanithlord says, we've already got these forums, and I'm sure we're all exceedingly greatful to you and Truckler (where did he get to anyways? You've enslaved him doing code for Underhive, haven't you!) for all the work you've done with it. The forum seems to have a decent profile with other groups like the Warseer lot and CCM, and is far and away the best Necro forums on the internet. Anyone who is into Necromunda will find this place and use it. I don't see why the Fringe needs to be social networking as well!

I use facebook and to a lesser extent Myspace but I still just use here for my Necromudery needs. I suppose there is no harm to get some extra publicity for here but myspace is dead, killed by facebook and twitter  . If you create a presence I'll sign up, but you don't want it to look like a saddy no mates club :( .

Just looked at the date on here, hmmm 3 years ago. I suppose the decision has already been made :D .
